BIOGRAPHY

Emirzeth Henriquez is an energetic and passionate violinist from Venezuela based in Sweden. Member of Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and at the same time devoted to chamber music. Currently exploring the possibilities of the fusion of music with other arts forms such as dance, paint and theatre.


    As first violin of Arantius Quartet won the 2nd prise at the 13th International Chamber Music Competition in Majano, Italy and the competition “Proms on Stage” performing in Brucknerhaus Linz. With the Quartet Emirzeth participated in International Festivals such as “Corteza de Encina” in Spain and “Vittoria Arts Festival” in Malta. Arantius Quartet was formed during her studies in the private University Anton Bruckner with the professors Susan Meesun Hong Coleman, Wolfgang Wincor and Predrag Katanic. In those years of studies, she was a temporal member of the violin section of Bruckner Orchestra Linz.


    The Hardworking violinist began her musical studies in Venezuela in the well known “El Sistema” where Emirzeth had the opportunity to be for 7 years a member of the Simon Bolivar Orchestra of Venezuela and worked with the renowned conductor Gustavo Dudamel. In this musical Institution she had the joy of developing other skills such a concertmaster with the youth Orchestra of Carabobo and as a soloist, she was invited to play several times in the Latin-American Violin Festival and Carabobo’s Violin festival, where she worked with conductors such as Christian Vasquez and Joshua Dos Santos.


Emirzeth plays a Michael Betcher German violin from 2021. She true believes in the importance of education and in the duty to pass on knowledge to the new generations, which is why she teaches a group of violinists (using the advantages of technology) from her hometown Puerto Cabello.
